JD Long Masonry is seeking an experienced and driven Masonry Foreman to lead field operations on commercial construction projects throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland.
As a Masonry Foreman at JD Long Masonry, you will oversee daily jobsite activity, manage masonry crews, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of craftsmanship. This is a leadership role for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to building strong teams and delivering quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily masonry construction operations in alignment with project plans, specifications, and company standards
- Lead and supervise crews to maximize safety, productivity, and workmanship quality
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations and JD Long Masonry safety policies
- Act as the on-site safety leader, identifying hazards and enforcing safety procedures
- Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to maintain efficient project workflow
- Maintain accurate daily reports, inspections, and jobsite documentation (including progress photos)
- Monitor labor hours and production to control costs and improve efficiency
- Minimize rework, punch list items, and delays caused by subcontractors or general contractors
- Support crew development by training team members and reinforcing company standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Masonry Foreman, Construction Foreman, or Field Supervisor
- Strong knowledge of commercial masonry construction and OSHA safety standards
- Ability to lead crews, delegate responsibilities, and maintain accountability on-site
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship and efficiency
